The partnership between Abu Dhabi and New Delhi is strategic, long-term, agile, and flexible, Sultan Al Jaber has said
India is progressing in "quantum leaps," a top United Arab Emirates official has said, praising the cooperation between the two nations.
Speaking at the India Energy Week 2026 conference in Goa on Tuesday, Sultan Al Jaber, UAE minister of industry and advanced technology and managing director of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc), said the countries shared a principled partnership based on trust.
"[Indian] Prime Minister Narendra Modi has put it so clearly. India does not progress in increments. It goes for quantum leaps," Al Jaber said
The minister called the India-UAE partnership "strategic, long-term, agile, and flexible," and said it is steadfast, dependable, principled, and consistent.
"Partnership that is based on trust and will endure through thick and thin. This is precisely what defines the UAE-India relationship," he added.
Last week, Adnoc signed a pact to provide liquefied natural gas (LNG) worth up to $3 billion for a period of ten years, starting in 2028, to Hindustan Petroleum Corporation.
The UAE will remain a "trusted and dependable" crude supplier for the South Asian nation, Al Jaber said on Tuesday.
India has said it aims todouble bilateral tradewith the UAE to $200 billion by 2032.
Earlier this month, the nations signed a letter of intent for a wider strategic defense partnership with security cooperation at its core.
India and the UAE also aim to explore partnerships in advanced nuclear technologies, including the development of nuclear reactors and cooperation in nuclear power plant operations and nuclear safety.
Indiafinalized a trade dealwith the EU earlier this week, termed as the "mother of all deals" by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
New Delhi is also in talks with a dozen countries and trade blocs for trade deals. Last year, India signed trade deals with the UK, Oman, and New Zealand.
